No NBA, What Now?

Image
With Coronavirus taking over, the NBA has decided to postpone the season until further notice. Last week, we saw Rudy Gobert act recklessly at a press conference, touching all the microphones of the reporters as he was leaving the stand. Shortly after Gobert was diagnosed with Coronavirus, his teammate, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive. It is more than likely that Gobert transferred the virus to Mitchell. Following the diagnoses of these two Utah Jazz players, Christian Wood, a recently acquired center for the Detroit Pistons also tested positive for Coronavirus. A few days prior, Gobert and Wood were matched up during the game between the Jazz and the Pistons. As for now, these are the only three players that have tested positive, and hopefully it will stay this way. All players have been instructed to self-quarantine for the time being, which will discourage the spread of the virus among active players. Coronavirus' Impact on Basketball

Image
Impacts of Coronavirus in the NBA: The National Basketball association has talked about implementing some antivirus legislation to protect its players from the widespread Coronavirus. Rumors have sparked of temporarily banning media from entering the locker rooms as well as not allowing fans in the arena. LeBron James has spoken out on this, stating that he would not play in an empty arena, although, I do not buy this, as I could not see a completely healthy LeBron sit on the sideline and watch his team lose. We have seen recreational sports stop the tradition of handshaking as well as other traditions, we may see some NBA traditions such as the jersey swap stop momentarily. (LeBron James, who made a statement on the Coronavirus’ impact on the NBA.) Impacts of Coronavirus on the NCAA: With March Madness right around the corner, many people are worried about how the Coronavirus will impact the safety of the tournament. One solution that has been discussed has been to lim...

As NCAA March Madness is only a few weeks away, our experts here at Dunk City Delight take an in depth look at some of their favorite teams to watch out for. Kansas(24-3) :  Kansas made a statement with its hard-fought road victory over Baylor on Saturday in a battle between two national title contenders. The Jayhawks (24-3, 13-1) avenged a Jan. 11 loss to Baylor and still have one more loss than the Bears. But Saturday's win should push Kansas to the top overall No. 1. That's because Kansas now features a nation-leading 11 Quadrant 1 (top-30 home, top-75 road) wins and the country's best strength of schedule. How can one not see them as a title contender?  (via. https://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article236287258.html )  Duke (23-4) :  Duke has been a powerhouse for decades now and this year is no different. The Blue  Devils are looking to redeem themselves from thei...
